Kim King

Counsellor/Professional Supervisor

Hi there!

My name is Kim, and I have worked as a Family and Relationships Counsellor since 2006, and a Professional Supervisor since 2012.  Prior to counselling I was a Primary/Preschool Teacher for 9 years.  As a Christian, my counselling is based on the truths found in the Bible and a personal relationship with Jesus.  Within this Biblical framework, I utilise mainstream evidence based therapeutic approaches to counselling practice such as Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Gottman Relationship Therapy.

I have been married for over forty years and have two adult children and five awesome grandchildren.  I live in beautiful Yeppoon Queensland and in my spare time I love walking on the beach with my husband and two Labradors, going for a cuppa with friends, singing in the Capricorn Coast Gospel Choir and reading audiobooks.

About Us

SFC_about us

At Seasons Family Counselling our aim is to provide counselling that is both accessible and personal whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism. We are based in Yeppoon Queensland but provide an online counselling service to anyone right across Australia.

We recognise that it isn’t always possible to attend counselling in person, particularly at present due to the Covid-19 virus, which is why we also offer options to connect using the various technologies available today. Our video and phone Counselling service means that you can connect with a professional, personal Family Counselling service from the comfort of your own home.

We offer appointments both during and after work hours that can be provided either via video (Zoom, WhatsApp, FaceTime) or telephone.  NDIS recipients (Self Managed and Plan Managed) are supported.

Our clients come from a range of areas right across Australia including Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth as well as rural and remote communities such as Toowoomba, Gladstone, Yeppoon, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Emerald, and Charleville.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you would like to discuss how our service works and how we may be able to help you.
